M-Brain is introducing its new web service. We have received a lot of feedback and new ideas about the web service and now we get these ideas into practice.

New Key Account Managers

M-Brain has three new key account managers Hannele Junttila, Kaisa Kärkkäinen-Saldan and Tuuli Talonen. They have previously worked as media analysts and translators. At the same Katri Pacek is starting her maternity leave on the 7th of January.

New head analyst Riitta Salo: A leap from the Forest Industry into the World of Media

In the beginning of April, Riitta Salo started to work as M-Brain's head analyst. She has previously worked with UPM Kymmene. The transition from the forestry to the media world has been straightforward, despite the branch shift. In M-Brain, Riitta is responsible for M-Brain’s analyses and BI-skills development.

M-Brain’s new visualisation demo gives a new perspective to Obama-search!

M-Brain published a “next-generation” visualisation demo in the website. Dataset is a random sample from a multilingual web slice containing the named entity "Barack Obama". You can get a picture of the relevant articles more easily.

Visualisation layout is calculated according to conceptual distance between each document pair. Similar documents are grouped together and different ones are placed apart. It’s easier to find common themes and other similarities between different Obama articles.

MA Katri Pacek and MA Jaana Tamminen were appointed as M-Brain's Key Account Managers. Pacek will be responsible for consumer branch customers and Tamminen concentrates on industry branch customers.
